Job duties |
• Lead all phases of consulting engagements including: o Conduct interviews with client engineers about design process, design knowledge and functional feature
o Evaluate current methodology used in current design process. Analyze results, create charts, and identify problems in clients’ design process.
o Process engineering method to tie commercial data and engineering data to this new foundation.
o Work with clients to systemize engineering process and solution through implementation.
o Develop solutions for knowledge standardization of process. Develop process and templates that provide ability to reduce Design Time by an average of 50%.
o Verify standardized processes and knowledge; identify and correct problems
o Negotiate agreements with clients regarding standardization plans
• Facilitate client education: o Educate clients about new processes
o Generate ideas for effective training system and manuals.
o Create specifications for educational materials
o Develop educational materials including texts and manuals.
• Provide Team Leadership: o Complete operational requirements by scheduling and assigning team members; following up on work results.
o Maintain team staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
o Maintain financial job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
o Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Other Key Responsibilities o Prepare special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
o Study new and existing legislation to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements
o Ensure operation of equipment by establishing preventive maintenance requirements and service contracts; maintaining equipment inventories; evaluating new equipment and techniques.
o Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
