Job duties -Establi sh Purchasing Department rules, internal policy and procedures, and create a Purchasing Manual for the department.
-Act as a liaison for all procurement activities and expedite processes with major suppliers.
-Respond to customers, distributors and sales force inquiries (by phone, fax or email) regarding orders, back orders, shipments and product availability
Follow up on purchases and deliveries with other facilities of the company.
-Maintain files and records of materials, prices, inventories, and deliveries.
-Maintain professional knowledge by maintaining up-to-date job skills: by proactively improving upon current job-related skills; and by learning new job-related skills as necessary.
-Exchange information through telephone, fax, and email; and establish positive working relationship.
-Report problems immediately to the Vice President and other members of Management verbally or in writing in order to avoid confusion and further problems.
-Other duties as assigned.
