| Job duties |
Plans, supervises and maintains all production processes, equipment, employees, safety. Responsible for meeting production timing, quality and quantity standards.
-Proven ability to contribute to increased productivity and company profitability.
-Must be able to make an annual business plan according to the company objectives and goals. Follow up as to the status of executing the plan.
-Make an annual plan for equipment and manpower, including; cross training, QC, process improvement and improving machine utilization rate, and implementation.
-Knowledge of Plan-Do-Check-Action (PDCA) operation cycle and desire to perform departmental planning.
-Reduce any potential occupational hazards and improve safety.
-Make production decisions based on employee attendance and need for overtime.
-Work with Engineering to ensure the overall maintenance of the production area.
-Work with Production Control to ensure customer shipments are met in a timely manner.
-Analyze scrap data and work on reducing scrap.
-Manage and coach line leaders.
-Maintain good morale.
-Other duties as directed.
-Assist in the decision-making process on capital equipment investments.
-Develop counter-measures to reduce QPRs.
